Participation on Official Time of Officials and Employees in the PIEP National Convention

September 15, 2004 MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 69 AUTHORIZING THE PARTICIPATION ON OFFICIAL TIME OF OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES OF VARIOUS GOVERNMENT AGENCIES AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS IN THE NATIONAL CONVENTION OF THE PHILIPPINE INSTITUTE OF ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNERS The Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners (PIEP) will hold its 35th Foundation Day Anniversary and National Convention on October 2930, 2004, with the theme: Gearing Up the Filipino Planner for National and Global Change , at the Century Park Hotel, Manila. In support of the government's efforts towards a better Philippine environment, officials and employees of various government agencies and local government units are hereby authorized to attend the above-mentioned Convention on official time only at no cost to the government except payment of their salaries, provided that such attendance will not adversely affect the functions of their respective offices as well as the delivery of services to the public. Within thirty (30) days thereafter, participants shall submit a report on the Convention outputs, action plans and recommendations to the office of their respective department secretaries and heads of agencies. Likewise, the PIEP shall furnish the Civil Service Commission a report on the results of the Convention as well as a list of the attendees. aEDCSI Manila, September 15, 2004
