May 25, 1993 MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 50 DIRECTING DEPARTMENTS, BUREAUS, OFFICES AND AGENCIES OF THE GOVERNMENT TO EXTEND SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE TO THE BOY SCOUTS OF THE PHILIPPINES IN THE HOLDING OF THE FIRST ASEAN JAMBOREE In order to complement the government's efforts of fostering ASEAN regional unity and cooperation, the President has issued Memorandum dated 13 May 1993 endorsing the holding by the Boy Scouts of the Philippines of the First ASEAN Jamboree from December 28, 1993 to January 3, 1994 at Mount Makiling, Los Baos, Laguna. ACaEcH Accordingly, all departments, bureaus, offices and agencies of the government are hereby directed to extend their optimum support and appropriate assistance to the Boy Scouts of the Philippines in the holding of this endeavor. This Memorandum Circular takes effect immediately. DONE in the City of Manila, this 25th day of May, in the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Ninety-Three. ATTACHMENT May 13, 1993 MEMORANDUM TO : ALL DEPARTMENTS, BUREAUS, OFFICES AND AGENCIES OF THE GOVERNMENT The Boy Scouts of the Philippines, in cooperation with various government agencies, is now engaged in promoting programs, projects and activities concerning environment conservation and protection, community service and development, health and sanitation, the campaign against drug abuse, and livelihood. To complement the government's efforts of fostering ASEAN regional unity and cooperation, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines proposes to initiate and hold the First ASEAN Jamboree among the ASEAN youth and other Asia-Pacific countries on December 28, 1993 to January 3, 1994 at Mount Makiling, Los Baos, Laguna. All departments, bureaus, offices and agencies of the government are hereby enjoined to extend appropriate support and assistance to the Boy Scouts of the Philippines in the pursuit of these endeavors.
