Ordinance Amending Subsection 4.2 of Ordinance No. 032 Series of 2014 Entitled: "Ordinance Imposing Accreditation Fees and Corkage Charges to Providers of Catering Services and Photography/Video Coverage Services at the Marikina Hotel and Convention Center"

August 9, 2017 MARIKINA CITY ORDINANCE NO. 053-17 ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTION 4.2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 032 SERIES OF 2014 ENTITLED: "ORDINANCE IMPOSING ACCREDITATION FEES AND CORKAGE CHARGES TO PROVIDERS OF CATERING SERVICES AND PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEO COVERAGE SERVICES AT THE MARIKINA HOTEL AND CONVENTION CENTER" Introduced by: Councilor Thaddeus Antonio M. Santos, Jr. WHEREAS , on July 5, 2017, the Board of Trustees of the Marikina Hotel adopted and approved BOT Resolution No. 46 Series of 2017 entitled: "Resolution Recommending the Increase of Corkage Fees Imposed upon Non-Accredited Catering Service Providers at the Marikina Hotel and Convention Center"; WHEREAS , on July 6, 2017, Ms. Deanna Racquel V. de Jesus, Officer-in-Charge of the Marikina Hotel formally transmitted the said BOT Resolution to the City Council to request the body for the amendment of Subsection 4.2 of Ordinance No. 032 Series of 2014; WHEREAS , the matter was included in the Agenda of the City Council and was referred to the Committee on Ways and Means which has the jurisdiction to hear and decide over the matter; WHEREAS , the committee, after conducting several meetings to determine the merits of the motion, resolved to grant the request of the Board of Trustees; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, AS IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MARIKINA in session duly assembled to: SECTION 1. Subsection 4.2 of Section 4 of Ordinance No. 032 Series of 2014 is hereby amended to be read as follows: "x x x 4.2 Catering Services: a. Catering Contract for LESS than 100 Persons PhP750.00 b. Catering Contractor 100 Persons or MORE Php1,000.00 x x x" SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be furnished to all concerned for their information and appropriate action. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval. UNANIMOUSLY ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MARIKINA this 9th day of August 2017.
