Amending and Modifying City Ordinance No. 99/051, Otherwise Known as the Revenue Code of Mandaue City as Amended by City Ordinance No. 09-2004-241

MANDAUE CITY ORDINANCE NO. 11-2010-543 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND MODIFYING CITY ORDINANCE NO. 99/051, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE REVENUE CODE OF MANDAUE CITY AS AMENDED BY CITY ORDINANCE NO. 09-2004-241 The ELEVENTH SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD of MANDAUE, with members in session duly assembled, hereby ORDAINS that: SECTION 1. Section 28 of City Ordinance No. 99/051 otherwise known as the Revenue Code of Mandaue City is hereby amended and modified to read as follows: "There is hereby imposed a tax of One and One-Half percent (1 1/2%) of the Gross Receipts from sales of goods, merchandise, services and other articles of commerce of the preceding calendar year on owners or operators of privately-owned public markets and shopping centers or malls. Gross receipts from lease or rent of rooms or store spaces shall be imposed separately on owners or operators of privately-owned public markets and shopping centers or malls in accordance with Section 27 of the said city ordinance." SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts thereof that are inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby amended, modified or repealed accordingly. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be effective immediately. ENACTED without objection after its second and final reading on February 2, 2010; as proposed and motioned by Hon. E.M. Rosal, duly seconded by Honorables A.S. Albao, Jr., M.N.M. Borbajo and E.F. Cabahug, with favorable recommendation from the joint referees-Committee on Laws and Ordinances and the Committee on Appropriation, Budget and Finance. CERTIFIED TRUE AND CORRECT.
