Declaring Barangay South Cembo Ordinance No. 2019-02 (Revenue Code of Barangay South Cembo) to be in Conformity with Existing Laws, Rules and Regulations

Almario, which was duly seconded by all Members present, the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Makati approved City Ordinance No. 2020-162 on third and final reading. MAKATI CITY ORDINANCE NO. 162-20 AN ORDINANCE DECLARING BARANGAY SOUTH CEMBO ORDINANCE NO. 2019-02 (REVENUE CODE OF BARANGAY SOUTH CEMBO) TO BE IN CONFORMITY WITH EXISTING LAWS, RULES AND REGULATIONS Authors: Hon. Vitales WHEREAS , Section 10 (a) (1) of R.A. 7854, otherwise known as the Charter of the City of Makati, provides that the Sangguniang Panlungsod shall review all ordinances approved by the sangguniang barangay and executive orders issued by the punong barangay to determine whether these are within the scope of the prescribed powers of the sanggunian and the punong barangay; WHEREAS , on 15 September 2019, the Sangguniang Barangay of South Cembo enacted Barangay Ordinance No. 2019-02 which aims to promulgate the Revenue Code of Barangay South Cembo, Makati City pursuant to the sangguniang barangay's taxing powers as provided by the Local Government Code of 1991, and for the purpose of promoting the ease of doing business and efficient delivery of government services, a copy of such barangay ordinance and its attachments are hereto attached as Annex "A" and made an integral part hereof; WHEREAS , the Honorable Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod undertook an extensive review of the proposed Revenue Code of Barangay South Cembo; WHEREAS , after exhaustive review, Barangay South Cembo Ordinance No. 2019-02 was declared to be in conformity with existing laws, rules and regulations. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED, AS IT IS HEREBY ENACTED BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD OF MAKATI, METRO MANILA, BY VIRTUE OF THE POWERS VESTED IN IT BY LAW, IN SESSION ASSEMBLED , to declare Barangay South Cembo Ordinance No. 2019-02 (Revenue Code of Barangay South Cembo) to be in conformity with existing laws, rules and regulations. ORDAINED FURTHER , that copies of the Ordinance shall be furnished to the Office of the Mayor, Liga ng mga Barangay, Sangguniang Barangay of South Cembo, Office of the City Administrator, City Law Department, Business Permit Office and other offices concerned for their information and guidance.
