Puno-Ramos, V.T. Sese, L.M. Magpantay, N.S. Pasia, M.T.N. de Lara, M.M.T. del Rosario III, F.T. Eusebio, V.V. Hilario, N.S. Yabut, Jr., M.C.M. Yabut, H.A. Jacome, R.C. Medina, M.A.M. Ortega, M.R.C. Tolentino, S.D. Pangilinan, and K.I.S. Cruzado AN ORDINANCE STAYING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SECTION 6A.05 OF CITY ORDINANCE NO. 2004-A-025 ALSO KNOWN AS THE REVISED MAKATI CITY REVENUE CODE, SUBJECT TO ALL LAWS AND AUDITING RULES AND PROCEDURES WHEREAS, Section 6A.05 of City Ordinance No. 2004-A-025, otherwise known as the revised Makati City revenue Code, provides that the City Treasurer shall issue cash tickets to ambulant peddlers and sidewalk vendors; WHEREAS, the purpose of the said section is to discourage the proliferation of road obstructions that affect the steady flow of traffic in the City's thoroughfares; CAIHTE WHEREAS, transient vendors, with their carts take advantage of the foot traffic as it ensures consumers. WHEREAS, after survey and ocular inspection, it was proved that the resultant effect was the prolific increase of road obstructions in the form of peddled wares and people; WHEREAS, it is necessary to abbreviate the adverse effect of Section 6A.05 of City Ordinance No. 2004-A-025 in order to allow the unimpeded movement of vehicles in the City's streets. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED, AS IT IS HEREBY ENACTED BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD OF MAKATI, METRO MANILA, BY VIRTUE OF THE POWERS VESTED IN IT BY LAW, IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT: SECTION 1. The enforcement and implementation of Section 6A.05 of City Ordinance No. 2004-A-025, otherwise known as the Revised Makati City Revenue Code, is suspended indefinitely. SECTION 2. Let copy of this Ordinance be furnished the Office of the City Administrator, the City Treasurer and to all other concerned offices for their information, guidance and reference. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval. ENACTED BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD OF MAKATI, METRO MANILA, in its regular session held on June 27, 2013.
