Cerillo RESOLUTION NO. 001-11 A RESOLUTION ENACTING AN ORDINANCE TO EXTEND THE TIME OF PAYMENT OF BUSINESS TAXES, FEES, AND OTHER CHARGES WITHOUT SURCHARGES OR PENALTIES IN THE CITY OF LIGAO FROM JANUARY 20, UP TO JANUARY 31, 2011 WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 255 of the Rules and Regulations Implementing the Local Government Unit all business taxes, fees and charges shall be paid within the first 20 days of January or of its subsequent quarter as the case may be. However, the Sanggunian concern may, for a justifiable reason or cause, extend the time of payment of business taxes, fees or charges without surcharges or penalties, but for a period not exceeding six (6) months; WHEREAS, to give sufficient time to businessmen in securing documents from various agencies of the National Government, such as: SSS, Philhealth, BIR, etc., as a requirement in the processing and approval of the business permit, it is therefore imperative to extend the time of payment of such business taxes, fees or charges without surcharges or penalties in the following schedule of payments as follows: Deadline per LGC Proposed Extension 1st Quarterly Installment January 20, 2011 TO January 31, 2011 2nd Quarterly Installment April 20, 2011 TO No extension 3rd Quarterly Installment July 20, 2011 No extension 4th Quarterly Installment October 20, 2011 No extension WHEREAS, the taxpayer need such extension to make some adjustment of their resources for the payment of business taxes; AIDSTE WHEREAS, the extension shall give the City Treasurer's Office the proper period to process all tax payments and other requirements accurately and complete without any inconvenience to the taxpayers; NOW, THEREFORE, on motion by COUNCILOR NOEL M. CERILLO and it was unanimously seconded, be it; RESOLVE AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to extend the time of payment of business taxes, fees and other charges without surcharges or penalties in the City of Ligao from January 20 up to January 31, 2011. LIGAO CITY ORDINANCE NO. 001-11 AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE TIME OF PAYMENT OF BUSINESS TAXES, FEES AND OTHER CHARGES WITHOUT SURCHARGES OR PENALTIES IN THE CITY OF LIGAO FROM JANUARY 20 UP TO JANUARY 31, 2011 Be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Ligao in session assembled, that: SECTION I. Provision. The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Ligao hereby extend the time of payment of business taxes, fees and other charges without surcharges or penalties in the City of Ligao, Province of Albay from January 20 up to January 31, 2011 in the following schedule as follows: Deadline per LGC Proposed Extension 1st Quarterly Installment January 20, 2011 TO January 31, 2011 2nd Quarterly Installment April 20, 2011 TO No extension 3rd Quarterly Installment July 20, 2011 No extension 4th Quarterly Installment October 20, 2011 No extension SECTION II. Provision. This ordinance was enacted in accordance with the provisions under Article 255 of the Rules and Regulations Implementing the Local Government Code of 1991. SECTION III. Effectivity.
