Basher-Guinar Assistant Provincial Assessor LANAO DEL SUR RESOLUTION NO. 88-02-A3 WHEREAS, Section 232 of the Local Government Code of 1991 authorizes the province to levy and collect the annual " Ad Valorem Tax" on real property; WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 235 of the same code, an additional one percent (1%) levied on real property to exclusively accrue to the Special Educational Fund (SEF) of Local Government Unit; WHEREAS, there is a necessity for the province to enact a tax ordinance to levy the real property tax and one percent (1%) that shall exclusively to accrue the Special Educational Fund of the province; WHEREFORE, on joint-sponsorship, duly seconded, the Sanggunian has RESOLVED as it is hereby RESOLVED to enact the following Ordinance, to wit: ORDINANCE NO. 06-2002 AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE RATES OF LEVY OF THE AD VALOREM TAX ON REAL PROPERTY, BOTH FOR THE BASIC REAL PROPERTY AND SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL FUND (SEF) OF THE PROVINCE OF LANAO DEL SUR. BE IT ORDAINED by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of the province of Lanao del Sur, that: SECTION 1. There share be imposed in the province of Lanao del Sur an Ad Valorem Tax on real property at the rates herein, as follows: a. Basic Real Property Tax One percent (1%) of Assessed Value b. Special Educational Fund Tax One percent (1%) of the Assessed Value SECTION 2. The herein above rates of Levy shall take effect simultaneously with the effectivity of the first general revision of real property assessments under the Local Government Code of 1991. RESOLVED FINALLY, to furnish copies of this Ordinance to all concerned agencies and offices for their information, guidance, and for public dissemination.
