1985 FIRB RESOLUTION NO. 008-85 WHEREAS, radio broadcasting and television stations help in the task of generating public information and national consciousness; and WHEREAS, under Presidential Decree No. 1362, such stations are granted the privilege to import radio/television equipment, spare parts and allied materials directly and actually needed and used exclusively by them in their operations without pre-payment of taxes, customs duties and other similar charges thereon, the same to be offset from whatever amount is due to said broadcasting stations for the facilities and broadcast time which has been used officially by the government; aisadc BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, the exemption from prepayment of taxes, duties and other charges on qualified importations of radio broadcasting and television stations under the provisions of P.D. 1362 is not thereby affected by P.D. 1955.
