November 28, 1980 EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 609-A MODIFYING THERATES OF IMPORT DUTY ON CERTAIN IMPORTEDARTICLES AS PROVIDED UNDER PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO.1464, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE TARIFFAND CUSTOMSCODE OF1978, AS AMENDED Pursuant to the powers vested in me by Section 401 of Presidential Decree No. 1464, as amended, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby direct and order: SECTION 1. The articles specifically listed in Annex "A" hereof as classified under Section 104 of Presidential Decree No. 1464, as amended, shall pay the rates of import duty to be applied by stages in accordance with the schedule indicated opposite each article as listed in the aforementioned Annex "A": Provided, That the rate of duty indicated for 1985 shall continue to be levied, imposed and collected in the succeeding years until otherwise modified. SECTION 2. On and after 1 January 1981, all the above-described articles listed in Annex "A" hereof entered or withdrawn from warehouse, in the Philippines, for consumption shall be subject to the rates of import duty prescribed. DONE in the City of Manila, this 28th day of November, in the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Eighty.
