October 29, 1975 EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 456 MODIFYINGTHE RATES OF IMPORT DUTY ON CERTAINIMPORTED ARTICLES AS PROVIDED UNDER REPUBLIC ACT NO.1937, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THETARIFF AND CUSTOMSCODE OF THE PHILIPPINES, AS AMENDED Pursuant to the powers vested in me by Section 401 of Republic Act No. 1937, as amended, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby direct and order: asia dc SECTION 1. The articles specifically listed hereunder as classified under Section 104 of Republic Act No. 1937 shall pay the following rates of import duty: Tariff Heading No. Description of Articles Rate of Duty 25.20 Gypsum; anhydrite; calcined gypsum, and plasters with a basis of calcium sulphate, whether or not colored, but not including plasters specially prepared for use in dentistry: A. Articles not included in subheading B hereof ad val. 10% B. Gypsum ad val. 20% 28.54 Hydrogen peroxide (including solid hydrogen peroxide) ad val. 30% 32.13 Writing ink, printing ink and other inks ad val. 50% 48.01 Paper and paperboard (including cellulose wadding), machine- made, in rolls or sheets: A. Carbonizing tissue paper and stencil tissue paper stock, filter paper, coloured match wrapping paper, cupstock converting paper, tabulating index paper, newsprint and cigarette paper exceeding 15 cm. in width, electrical grade insulating paper ad val. 30% 2. Infra-red and ultra-violet lamp bulbs including reflector and mercury lamp bulbs; lamp bulbs; lamp bulbs for motor vehicles ad val. 10% B. x x x 87.01 Tractors (other than those falling within heading No. 87.07), whether or not fitted with power take-offs, winches or pulleys: A. Articles not included in subheading B hereof ad val. 10% B. Power tillers or walking tractors or hand tractors ... ad val. 30% 87.04 Chassis fitted with engines, for the motor vehicles falling within heading No. 87.01, 87.02 or 87.03: A. Completely knocked-down (CKD) components when imported from one or more countries for assembly of trucks upon prior authorization and certification of the Board of Investments ad val. 20% B. Other ad val. 20% SECTION 2. After the expiration of thirty (30) days from the issuance of this Order, all the above- described articles entered or withdrawn from warehouse, in the Philippines, for consumption shall be subject to the rates of import duty herein prescribed. SECTION 3. Any unwarranted increase in the prices of local products benefitted by these tariff changes may be sufficient ground for the revocation of such tariff changes.
