February 29, 1972 EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 378 CREATING THE PHILIPPINE TOURIST BOARD WHEREAS, there is need to coordinate efforts in the development and promotion of tourism in the Philippines, and to involve all entities directly or indirectly connected with tourism so as to provide a wholesome atmosphere for tourists in the Philippines; acd NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby create the Philippine Tourist Board composed of the following: Commissioner of Tourism Chairman President, Philippine Tourist & Travel Association Vice-Chairman Commissioner of Immigration Member Commissioner of Customs Member Director, Bureau of Quarantine Member Director, Civil Aeronautics Administration Member Director, Civil Aeronautics Board Member Manager, Manila International Airport Member Director, Parks and Wildlife Office Member Administrator, NACIDA Member Chief, METROCOM Member President, Philippine Chamber of Tourism Member President, Associated Hotels of the Philippines Member President, Hotels & Restaurant Association of the Philippines Member President, Advertising Council of the Philippines Member President, Philippine Press Institute Member President, Association of Tour Operators of the Philippines Member President, Philippine Society of Travel Agencies Member President, Taxicab Operators of the Philippines Member President, Bus Operators Association of the Philippines Member President, Hunting and Fishing Association Member President, Chamber of Cottage Industries Member President, Airlines Operators of the Philippines Member President of the Jaycees, Rotary and Lions Clubs in the Philippines Member Representative of the Mayor, Manila Member Representative of the Mayor, Pasay Member Representative of the Mayor, Makati Member Representative of the Mayor, Quezon City Member The Board shall serve as an advisory body to establish the proper direction, the long-term and short-term objectives, the standards, and to recommend the necessary legislation, towards the advancement of tourism in the Philippines.
