Requiring Additional Copies of Pleadings that a Party is Required or Desires to File in the CTA

May 28, 2013 EN BANC RESOLUTION NO. 005-13 WHEREAS, Section 5 (c) of A.M. No. 11-9-4-SC, otherwise known as the Efficient Use of Paper Rule , provides that: "Sec. 5. Copies to be Filed. Unless otherwise directed by the court, the number of court-bound papers that a party is required or desires to file shall be as follows: a) . . .; b) . . .; c) In the Court of Tax Appeals, one original (properly marked) and two copies with annexes. On appeals to the En Banc, one original (properly marked) and eight copies with annexes;" WHEREAS, during the En Banc Session held on May 28, 2013, the Court En Banc agreed that it is necessary and more cost-efficient for the Court of Tax Appeals (CTA) to require additional copies of pleadings that a party is required or desires to file in the CTA; SEcAIC NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the Efficient Use of Paper Rule , the Court En Banc hereby directs the parties as follows: a) The number of copies of Petition for Review to be filed with the Court in Division shall be six copies, to be distributed as follows: one for the original docket, one for the Office of the Solicitor General, one for the Bureau of Internal Revenue/Bureau of Customs and three for the Justices; b) The number of copies of Petition for Review and other pleadings to be filed with the Court En Banc shall be ten copies, to be distributed as follows: one for the original docket and nine for the Justices; c) For all other pleadings to be filed with the Court in Division, only four copies shall be filed, to be distributed as follows: one for the original docket and three for the Justices.
