DIMAANDAL Director IV Office of the President of the Philippines Malacaang MEMORANDUM TO : ALL HEADS OF DEPARTMENTS, BUREAUS AND AGENCIES OF THE NATIONAL GOVERNMENT, AND STATE UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES SUBJECT : INVITATION TO NOMINATE CANDIDATES FOR THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE 2012 DATE : November 22, 2011 The Norwegian Nobel Committee is accepting nominations for the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize, which will be awarded on 10 December 2012. SaCIDT The Statutes of the Nobel Foundation specify categories of the following individuals who are eligible to make nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize: 1. Members of national assemblies and governments; 2. Members of international courts of law; 3. University chancellors, university professors of social science, history, philosophy, law and theology, leaders of peace research institutes and institutes of foreign affairs; TIcAaH 4. Former Nobel Peace Prize laureates; 5. Board members of organizations that have previously won the prize; 6. Present and past members of the Norwegian Nobel Committee; and 7. Former advisers to the Norwegian Nobel Institute. TCDcSE Nominators are strongly requested not to publish their proposals.
