March 9, 2012 DOF MEMORANDUM FOR : Commissioner Kim S. Jacinto-Henares Bureau of Internal Revenue It has come to the attention of this Office that certain unscrupulous people may have been using the name of Undersecretary Carlo A. Carag to extort money or gain favors from those having interest in matters pending with or involving the Bureau of Internal Revenue and in the facilitation or obtention thereof. Such acts have not been and are not authorized, tolerated or countenanced by Undersecretary Carag and should not be entertained. Any such acts should be reported to this Office for appropriate legal action. Please disseminate this warning and be guided accordingly. Thank you. (SGD.) CARLO A.
