June 26, 2014 DOF DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 046-14 SUBJECT : Further Extension of Application Period for Importers and Customs Brokers with Valid and Existing Accreditation In response to the numerous requests from affected groups/entities for extension of the period to comply with the requirements for importers and customs brokers accreditation, as specified in Department Order (DO) No. 12-2014 dated 6 February 2014, as amended by DO No. 18-2014 dated 26 February 2014, and in order to give all importers and customs brokers concerned additional time to prepare and secure said requirements, the extended period set in DO No. 33-2014 dated 21 May 2014 within which to file the applications shall be further extended until 31 July 2014 . Failure to file the proper application with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and the Bureau of Customs (BOC) by the date stated in the immediately preceding paragraph, and in the manner prescribed by the pertinent rules, shall result in the automatic cancellation of the existing accreditation, if any, effective 1 August 2014 or the date of expiration as indicated in the original BOC accreditation, whichever is earlier .
