June 7, 2000 DOF DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 039-00 ( Declared Overtaken by Events by D.O. 29-16) In the exigencies of the service, Undersecretary CORNELIO C. GISON, Revenue Operations Group, this Department, is designated to oversee all related activities pertaining to the de-activation of the Economic Intelligence and Investigation Bureau (EIIB). Undersecretary Gison is hereby delegated the authority to sign and approve all DOF directives and issuances to ensure compliance and implementation with Executive Order Nos. 191 (07 January 2000), 223 (29 March 2000), and 247 (20 May 2000) and other related EOs which may be issued later. Further, Undersecretary Gison is delegated the authority to initiate measures and activities that would ensure smooth and expeditious compliance with said directives/issuances. He shall also continue to represent the Department with other agencies on matters pertinent to the implementation of the relative presidential issuances. All other DOF administrative issuances inconsistent with this Order are hereby repealed or modified conformably. This Order shall take effect immediately. All concerned shall be guided accordingly.
