Establishing/Creating the Department of Finance Internal Audit Office (DOF-IAO) under the Office of the Secretary

September 10, 2007 DOF DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 035-07 ( Declared Overtaken by Events by D.O. 29-16 ) SUBJECT : Establishing/Creating the Department of Finance Internal Audit Office (DOF-IAO) under the Office of the Secretary Pursuant to the directive from the Office of the President as embodied in its Memorandum Circular No. 89 dated 18 August 2005 enjoining the creation of an Internal Audit Office, Administrative Order No. 70 s. 2003 strengthening the internal control systems of government offices and agencies, Administrative Order No. 278, Republic Act 3456, Republic Act 4177, Budget Circular 2004-4, International Standards for the Professional practice of Internal Auditing and compliance with the first of the twenty two (22)-doables under the Integrity Development Action Plan spearheaded by the Presidential Anti-Graft Commission (PAGC) mandating the creation of the DOF-IAO and providing capability building program for IAO personnel, the Internal Audit Office (IAO) is hereby created and established directly under the Office of the Secretary. The DOF-IAO in the exercise of its functions as shall cover all DOF bureaus and attached agencies. Pending approval of the DOF Rationalization Plan, which includes the staffing and organizational structure of the DOF-IAO, the Change Management Team shall identify personnel who can be assigned to the IAO and constitute the skeletal force. caSEAH This Order shall take effect immediately and all concerned shall be guided accordingly.
