May 8, 1998 DOF DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 034-98 SUBJECT : Live Implementation of Duty/Tax Exempt System (Revenue Express Lane) 1. Effective Wednesday, 13 May 1998, the Electronic Duty/Tax Exemption System which has been on a successful parallel run, shall go live for exemptions approved by and released from the Revenue Express Lane. 2. The original copy of the approved application shall now be given to the applicant who in turn shall attach said copy to the Import Entry and Internal Revenue Declaration (IEIRD) upon filing at the Bureau of Customs. The third copy of the endorsement shall likewise be given to the applicant. 3. An electronic record of the approved exemption shall be created and transmitted to the Bureau of Customs immediately through the computer system. 4. A regular feedback mechanism shall be instituted between the Bureau of Customs and Revenue Express Lane to insure that there will be no breaches in security. cdll 5.
