May 7, 2009 DOF DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 026-09 In the exigency of the service and in view of the reports received by this Department regarding the indiscriminate issuances of Alert and/or Hold Orders by the Bureau of Customs against shipments even without valid reasons therefor, thus, causing delay in the release of affected shipments, the Commissioner of Customs is hereby directed to submit a status report of all alert/hold orders issued from January 2008 up to the present. Thereafter, a monthly report of all alert/hold orders subsequently issued should also be submitted to this Department. EDCTIa All orders and/or issuances inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed or modified accordingly. This Order shall take effect immediately. (SGD.) MARGARITO B. TEVES Secretary
