June 30, 2006 DOF DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 025-06 ESTABLISHMENT OF DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE PROVIDENT FUND PURSUANT TO R.A. 9336 Pursuant to Sec. 42 of the CY 2005 General Appropriations Act otherwise known as R.A. 9336, and the similar provision in the succeeding general appropriations acts, and Administrative Order No. 279 dated 5 May 1992 authorizing the utilization of service fees collected by departments, bureaus, offices and agencies for the establishment of a Provident Fund, the Department of Finance Provident Fund is hereby established. ITAaHc The DOF's share of the contribution to the Provident Fund shall amount to five hundred pesos (PhP500.00) per employee, per month, which shall be sourced from the service fees collected from the applicant/customs broker/representative availing of the services of the Mabuhay Lane, and all other prospective service fees that the Department may impose on the services that it provides. Section 5 of Department Order No. 54-2000 dated 13 December 2000 is hereby amended as follows: "Utilization of collections from the services provided by the Mabuhay Lane Portion of the proceeds from the fees/charges authorized to be collected herein shall accrue to the Provident Fund of the Department of Finance, representing DOF's counterpart share of the contribution to the Provident Fund." This Order takes effect immediately and all orders inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed, or modified, accordingly. (SGD.) MARGARITO B. TEVES Secretary
