Constitution of a Special Committee to Investigate the Charges Against Mr. Joselito F. Fernandez

September 22, 2005 DOF DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 022-05 ( Declared Overtaken by Events by D.O. 29-16 ) Pursuant to the powers granted by the Administrative Code of 1987, I hereby constitute a Special Committee to conduct an investigation on MR. JOSELITO F. FERNANDEZ, an Intelligence Officer of the Central Management Information Office, Department of Finance detailed to the Revenue Integrity Protection Service in connection with the alleged incident last 26 August 2005 leading to the filing of criminal charges of robbery and extortion against him before the Regional Trial Court of Lipa City. The Special Committee shall have all the powers necessary for the proper conduct of its investigation in accordance with existing laws and shall be composed of the following: (1) Assistant Secretary Gaudencio Mendoza as Chairperson; (2) Director Ma. Edita Z. Tan, International Finance Group as Member; and (3) Director Lourdes Santiago, Central Administration Office as Member. The Special Committee shall complete its investigation within thirty (30) days from the date of this Department Order and shall then submit a Report bearing the results of its investigation and a recommendation of any disciplinary action to be taken against Mr. Fernandez, if warranted.
