Designation of Director Ma. Lourdes V. Dedal as DOF's Focal Person for National Guidelines on Internal Control Systems

April 24, 2009 DOF DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 020-09 In connection with the implementation of the National Guidelines on Internal Control Systems (NGICS) which was formulated by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and the Office of the President-Internal Audit Office (OP-IAO), with assistance from the Philippine-Australia Partnership for Economic Governance Reforms (PEGR) and inputs from a Reference Panel, DIRECTOR MA. LOURDES V. DEDAL of the Central Financial Management Office and who acted as Reference Panel for the DOF in the drafting of the NGICS is hereby designated as the Department of Finance's focal person for this undertaking. The NGICS, after its successful launching on January 14, 2009, is now ready for roll-out among various department and agencies. The DOF, Bureau of Customs (BOC) and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) have been identified as priority agencies for assistance. As such, Director Dedal shall be responsible for coordinating with PEGR, OP-IAO, DBM, BIR and BOC in all activities related thereto and compliance with requirements relative to the roll-out of the NGICS among the DOF bureaus and attached agencies.
