Reconstitution of the Board of Personnel Inquiry and Review

July 25, 2012 DOF DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 018-12 In the exigencies of service, the Board of Personnel Inquiry and Review is hereby reconstituted as follows: Chairperson : Undersecretary Carlo A. Carag Revenue Operations and Legal Affairs Group Vice-Chair : Undersecretary Gil S. Beltran Policy Development and Management Services Group Members : Asst. Secretary Ma. Teresa S. Habitan Fiscal Policy and Planning Office Director Lourdes Z. Santiago Central Administration Office The Board shall convene immediately and designate its Secretariat. It shall have the power to impose disciplinary actions and promulgate decisions and resolutions in administrative disciplinary cases involving the following: a) Organic personnel of the Department of Finance; b) Local treasurers and assistant treasurers; c) Personnel of attached bureaus and agencies where the penalty involved is removal from service; and, d) Appealed cases of personnel of attached bureaus and agencies where the penalty is suspension for more than thirty (30) days or a fine equivalent to thirty (30) days worth of salary. The BOPIR shall have the power to conduct fact-finding investigations or clarificatory hearings to determine the truth in disciplinary cases under its review or consideration. Finally, the BOPIR shall have the authority to issue rules and regulations that will govern the exercise of its functions. Previous decisions, resolutions, acts, and proceedings of the BOPIR are hereby approved, ratified, and confirmed by the undersigned.
