Signing and Approval of Certain Action Documents and Papers from the Revenue Office

March 11, 2009 DOF DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 013-09 ( Declared Overtaken by Events by D.O. 29-16) In the interest of the service, and further to Office Order No. 67-08 (dated 24 October 2008) issued pursuant to Department Order No. 24-07 (dated 27 July 2007), the following action documents/papers from the Revenue Office shall be signed and approved by the Undersecretary for Legal and Revenue Operations Group: SaCDTA (1) Importation of books under Section 105(s) of the Tariff and Customs Code of the Philippines (TCCP), as amended, and Section 109 (r) of the National Internal Revenue Code, as amended; (2) Importation of educational, scientific and cultural books/materials listed and enumerated under the UNESCO Florence Agreement; (3) Importation of books or raw materials to be used in book publishing under Republic Act (R.A.) No. 8047, or the "Book Publishing Industry Development Act"; and, (4) Importation of books by non-stock, non-profit educational institutions under Section 4 (3), Article XIV of the New Constitution, as implemented by Department Order No. 137-87. This Order accordingly revokes or otherwise amends all orders and other issuances inconsistent herewith. Let a copy of this Order be furnished the Bureau of Customs and the Revenue Office, this Department, for their proper guidance and strict observance. This Order shall take effect immediately.
