March 7, 2006 DOF DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 012-06 TO : All DOF Officials and Employees This Department SUBJECT : Clothing/Uniform Allowance for CY 2006 In view of the results of the DOFPEA Survey showing that majority of the employees prefer to receive the cash amount of Four Thousand Pesos (PhP4,000.00) clothing allowance for CY 2006, management has agreed to give this year's clothing allowance in cash, provided that employees wear the appropriate business attire as prescribed under CSC MC No. 19, s. 2000 (Revised Dress Code Prescribed for All Government Officials and Employees in the Workplace). Provided further, that any violation of the Dress Code shall be considered as ground for disciplinary action, to wit: "8. Penalty in case of violation . Any violation of the provisions of this Dress Code shall be considered as ground for disciplinary action, for Violation of Reasonable Office Rules and Regulations, under Sec. 22 , Rule XIV, Revised Omnibus Rules Implementing Book V of the Administrative Code of 1987 (Executive Order No. 292)." Employees who wish to continue wearing their existing office uniform may do so. However, for next year, we shall impose the wearing of office uniform. Strict compliance is hereby enjoined. (SGD.)
