September 12, 2002 DOF DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 012-02 ( Declared Overtaken by Events by D.O. 29-16 ) DELEGATING THE AUTHORITY TO ISSUE AND SIGN THE DEPARTMENT ORDER PRESCRIBING THE ZONAL VALUATION OF VARIOUS CITIES AND MUNICIPALITIES TO UNDERSECRETARY CORNELIO C. GISON WHEREAS, Section 6(E) of the National Internal Revenue of 1997 (R.A. 8424) grants the authority to the Commissioner of Internal Revenue to prescribe real property values; ASDTEa WHEREAS, the Bureau of Internal Revenue is under the supervision and control of the Department of Finance under Executive Order No. 127 and Section 2, Title I of RA 8424; WHEREAS, Book IV, Title III, Chapter 7, Section 38 of the Administrative Code of 1987 defines supervision and control to include the authority to act directly whenever a specific function is entrusted by law or regulation to a subordinate; WHEREAS, there is a need to update the zonal valuation of various cities and municipalities in the Philippines to reflect the fair market value of real properties; NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to Book IV, Title III, Chapter 2, Section 8 of the Administrative Code of 1987 and in the exigencies of public service, Undersecretary Cornelio C. Gison, is hereby authorized to sign and issue the necessary Department Order prescribing the zonal valuation of various cities and municipalities in the Philippines. This Department Order shall take effect immediately and is valid until December 31, 2002 unless earlier revoked. ACcISa (SGD.) JOSE ISIDRO N. CAMACHO Secretary
