Creation of Technical Working Group to Evaluate the Proposed Customs and Tariff Modernization Act of 2008

February 19, 2009 DOF DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 010-09 ( Declared Overtaken by Events by D.O. 29-16 ) In view of the proposed Customs and Tariff Modernization Act of 2008 sponsored by Congressman Rufus Rodriguez filed under House Bill No. 5342, which is intended to align the various operations in the Bureau of Customs in compliance with international trade standards and various trade agreements, a Technical Working Group (TWG) is hereby created composed of the following personnel of this Department, to wit: cADTSH Chairman : Undersecretary Estela Valdez-Sales Legal & Revenue Operations Group Vice Chairman : Atty. Plan OSS-Center 4. Ms. Stela B. Montejo FPPO 5. Atty. Rowena Salido Customs & Tariff Division 6. Mr. Heherson Marayag Customs & Tariff Division 7. Atty. Jeffrey Canlapan Legal & ROG 8. Atty. Liza Sebastian-Torres Legal & ROG 9. Atty. Larry Barcelo Legal & ROG 10. Mr. Nicanor Olino Information & Liaison Office 11. Ms. Stella Flores Information & Liaison Office 12. Lucky Raymundo Malveda Information & Liaison Office The TWG shall be primarily responsible for evaluating the proposed CTMA, serving as the DOF's liaison with the Bureau of Customs on the details of the proposed revisions and the drafting of the inputs/position of the department which shall be submitted to the Committee on Ways and Means on or before February 27, 2009.
