March 6, 2017 DOF DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 008-17 SUBJECT : Creation of Technical Working Group for Tax Treaty Negotiation In the exigency of service, a Technical Working Group for Tax Treaty Negotiation is hereby constituted as follows: Chairman : Undersecretary for Revenue Operations Group Members : Undersecretary for Domestic Finance Group : Assistant Secretary for International Finance Group The Technical Working Group shall have the following powers and responsibilities: a. It is authorized to revise or amend, subject to the approval of the Secretary of Finance, the existing Philippine Tax Treaty Model. b. It may invite resource persons from other government agencies or instrumentalities it deems necessary to properly discharge its functions. c. It may establish guidelines, rules, and regulations in the exercise of its functions. The Assistant Secretary for Revenue Operations Group is hereby designated as the Secretariat of the Technical Working Group. The Committee is hereby ordered to convene immediately and thereafter hold regular meetings to discuss all matters involving tax treaty negotiations/re-negotiations.
