March 1, 2010 DOF DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 005-10 ( Declared Overtaken by Events by D.O. 29-16 ) CREATING A TECHNICAL WORKING GROUP TO FORMULATE THE IMPLEMENTING RULES AND REGULATIONS REQUIRED TO BE PROMULGATED UNDER REPUBLIC ACT NO. 95 93, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE TOURISM AC T OF 2009 In the exigency of the service and pursuant to Section 85 (a) of Republic Act No. 9593, otherwise known as the "Tourism Act of 2009," a Technical Working Group (TWG) is hereby created to be composed of the following representatives: Department of Finance: Principal Representatives: Ms. Ma. Lourdes Recente - Assistant Secretary, Research and Information Office Atty. Bianca E. Sison - Legal and Revenue Operations Group Atty. Jeffrey G. Canlapan - Legal and Revenue Operations Group Alternates: Miriam Tasarra - Research and Information Office Minda Serquea - Research and Information Office Bureau of Internal Revenue: Principal Representatives: Ms. Lucita G. Rodriguez - Deputy Commissioner, Special Concerns Group Atty. V. Cadangen - Asst. Chief, Law Division Alternate: Atty. Joan Quijano - Law Division Bureau of Customs: Principal Representatives: Atty. Talek Pablo - Chief, Tax Exempt Division, Legal Service Ms. Nancy Hernandez - Assistant Chief, Tax Exempt Division, Legal Service Alternates: Atty. Cesar Corpuz - Assessment & Operations Coordinating Group Atty. Vener Baquiran - Assessment & Operations Coordinating Group The representatives of the TWG designated herein are hereby tasked to meet, coordinate and consult with the other representatives of TIEZA in the TWG to formulate the implementing rules and regulations on the tax provisions under Republic Act No. 9593 to be promulgated by TIEZA. The TWG shall submit its proposed implementing rules and regulations to their respective agencies for approval and consideration. Their functions as members of the TWG shall cease as soon as the appropriate IRR is issued. This Order shall take effect immediately upon its issuance. (SGD.) MARGARITO B. TEVES Secretary
