Menguito WHEREAS, the City of Dasmarias constructed a school building which has a specified commercial area also known as the DC Mart; WHEREAS, there is a need to impose fees on the stall areas located in the commercial part of the building; WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod, as the legislative body, shall enact ordinances levying taxes, fees and charges prescribing the rates thereof for general and specific purposes, and granting tax exemptions, incentives or reliefs according to Local Government Code of 1991 (R.A. 7160), Section 458 (2) (ii) subject to the provision of Book II of this Code and applicable laws and upon the majority vote of all the members; NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained as it is hereby ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in a session duly assembled that: SECTION 1. Title . This Tax Ordinance shall be known as a "TAX ORDINANCE IMPOSING FEES FOR DASMARIAS CITY (DC) MART". SECTION 2. Scope and Coverage. This Tax Ordinance shall apply to all commercial stall available for rent in the DC Mart. SECTION 3. Imposition of Fees . There shall be collected the amount of Twenty Pesos (PhP20.00) per stall per day for the commercial spaces being rented. SECTION 4. Terms and Mode of Payments . The fees to be collected shall be on a daily basis. The payment shall be in cash and shall be paid anytime between 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Mondays to Fridays. Payments for Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays shall be collected not later than the following working day. SECTION 5. Repealing Clause . All ordinances, rules and regulations or parts thereof inconsistent with the provisions of this Tax Ordinance are hereby repealed, amended or modified accordingly. SECTION 6. Effectivity Clause . This Tax Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after its posting at the bulletin boards of the City Government and publication in a newspaper of local circulation. UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED.
