CAUAYAN CITY ORDINANCE NO. 007-13 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2011-015 PARTICULARLY CHAPTER II, ARTICLE L, (SECTION 2L.02 PAR. H); ARTICLE M (SECTION 2M.19 PAR. a & b, SECTION 2M.20, SECTION 2M.21 PAR. a & b) and CHAPTER III, ARTICLE A (SECTION 3A.04 PAR. 2) THEREOF THE REVISED REVENUE CODE OF THE CITY OF CAUAYAN, ISABELA AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES (Sponsored by: Hon. Alejandro Q. Uy, III) WHEREAS, presented before the Sangguniang Panlungsod is a letter emanated from the Office of the City Mayor requesting for an appropriate legislative action for the proposed amendment of certain provision of the Revenue Code; WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2011-015, "Known as the Revised Revenue Code of the City of Cauayan, Isabela, Enacted on December 13, 2011, govern the levy, assessment and collection of taxes, fees, charges and other imposition of fees within the City of Cauayan, Isabela; WHEREAS, to conform with the laudable purpose of the Local Chief Executive, there is a felt need to amend the said Ordinance particularly CHAPTER II, ARTICLE L, (SECTION 2L.02 PAR. H0; ARTICLE M (SECTION 2M.19 PAR. a & b, SECTION 2M.20, SECTION 2M.21 PAR. a & b) and CHAPTER III, ARTICLE A (SECTION 3A.04 PAR. 2); WHEREAS, since some provisions of the existing Revised Revenue Code of the City of Cauayan needs to be amended for better implementation, after thorough deliberation; WHEREFORE UPON MOTION of Hon. Alejandro Q. Uy, III, Chairman, Committee on Labor, Trade, Industry and Economic Enterprise duly seconded by Hon. Marco Paolo A. Meris; BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby RESOLVED, to ordain the following amendatory ordinance to wit: CHAPTER II City Taxes ARTICLE L Graduated Tax on Business SECTION 2L.02 Par. (H). On peddlers engaged in the sale of any merchandise or article of commerce, at the rate of Three hundred (P300.00) Pesos per Peddler. ARTICLE M Taxes on Businesses Tax on Service Centers and Liaison Offices SECTION 2M.19. Definition of terms, as used in this Article, the following terms shall mean: a. Service Center is a business center which exclusively offer its services to the public for a fee whose employees have its own expertise in any field of human endeavour such as mechanic, car washer, vulcanizer and etc. b. Liaison office Managerial Office. SaCIDT Tax on Liaison Office will be at fixed rate of P10,000.00 annually. Tax on Rental Charges for the Use of Don Francisco L. Dy Coliseum SECTION 2M.21. Imposition of Charges. There is hereby imposed a rental charges for the: a. Use of Don Francisco L. Dy Memorial Coliseum at One Thousand (P1,000.00) Pesos per day. b. Electricity consumed per hour i. With air con (P1,000.00 per hour) ii. Without air con (P500.00 per hour) CHAPTER III Permit and Regulatory Fees ARTCLE A Mayor's Permit Fee on Business SECTION 3A.04. Administrative Provisions . For Renewal of Existing Business Permits. a. Previous year's Mayor's Permit. b. Copies of the Annual or quarterly tax payments. c. Copies of all receipts showing payment of all regulatory fees as provided for in this code. d. Certificate of Tax exemption from local taxes or fees, if exempt. e. Income Tax return (For previous year). f. BIR Registration Certificate. g. Barangay Clearance. h. Declaration of previous year's gross sales receipts. ENACTED and APPROVED. August 30, 2013.
