August 2, 1999 BUREAU OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT FINANCE OPINION The Provincial Assessor Amas, Kidapawan Cotabato S i r : This refers to your letter April 7, 1999, addressed to the Honorable Secretary of the Department of Finance which was referred to this Bureau for appropriate action, in effect requesting assistance in order to expedite the remittance of the concerned municipalities of that province of their shares on the proposed general revision budget. In this connection, enclosed is a copy of our 1st Indorsement of same date, addressed to the BLGF Regional Director of Regional XII, which states, in part, that in order that the general revision of real property assessments can be undertaken on time, that Office is hereby requested to render assistance to the said Provincial Assessor of Cotabato by way of making representations with the concerned local government units emphasizing the mandatory conduct of the general revision of real property assessments and the sanctions for non-compliance thereof pursuant to R.A.
