Davao City S i r : This refers to your letter dated June 6, 2001, relative to the representations allegedly made by the Municipal Assessor of Tupi, South Cotabato, in effect requesting an update/status concerning the Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) issued by the Supreme Court in the case of " PHILRECA, et al. vs. The Secretary of DILG and the Secretary of the Department of Finance ," under G.R. No. 143076. In this connection, attached are copies of the following series of communications relative thereto, to wit: 1. Letter dated July 31, 2000 (Annex "A") of the Assistant Secretary of the DOF, addressed to the Solicitor General Ricardo P. Galvez, requesting advise on how to comply with the said resolution of the Supreme Court; 2. Letter dated August 9, 2000 (Annex "B") of the Hon. Assistant Solicitor General addressed to the DOF, in response to item 1 hereof, suggesting "close coordination" of respective offices (DOF and OSG) in the preparation of the comment; CSTDEH 3. Memorandum dated May 7, 2001 (Annex "C") of this Bureau, addressed to the Hon. Secretary of the DOF relative to the latest developments on the subject matter; and 4. Letter dated June 29, 2001 (Annex "D") of the Hon. Assistant Solicitor General, addressed to the Provincial Legal Officer, Provincial Capitol, Roxas City, concerning update on the subject matter.
