December 4, 2002 BUREAU OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT FINANCE OPINION The OIC-City Treasurer Cebu City Letter-Tracer Madam : This refers to the 1st Indorsement dated October 8, 2002 of this Bureau relative to the letter dated July 8, 2002 of Mr. Pio B. Castillo, Jr., Exec. Vice Pres. & CEO of International Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (IPI), that city, requesting opinion in the light of the alleged conflicting interpretation of the provisions of Article 243 of the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) implementing Section 150 of the Local Government Code (LGC) of 1991. In this connection, please be informed that this Bureau received several follow-ups made by Mr. Castillo as to what action has been taken on the matter. In view thereof, the directive embodied in the 1st Indorsement dated October 8, 2002 addressed to that Office, copy enclosed, is hereby reiterated. Preferential attention on the matter is requested.
