December 8, 2000 BUREAU OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT FINANCE OPINION The In-Charge of Office Office of the Regional Director for Local Government Finance Department of Finance, Region VIII 2nd Floor, Tri-Star Building 170 Avenida Valderama Street 6500 Tacloban City S i r : Attached is the Resolution on the case of Monico Derano Complainant-Appellant, versus Ramon Jore Respondent Appellee , promulgated on November 14, 2000, for the cancellation of Tax Declaration No. 40778 R-7 (Now TD No. 31-023-00120), the resolving portion thereof reads as follows: "Considering however, that this Bureau, although retaining its technical supervision over assessment operations of local government units, no longer exercises administrative disciplinary jurisdiction over assessors whose appointments are now lodged in the local government unit under the Local Government Code of 1991, we are respectfully referring the herein complaint to the Office of the Provincial Governor of Leyte for appropriate action taking into consideration the above observations.
