February 14, 2001 BUREAU OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT FINANCE OPINION The Municipal Assessor San Francisco, Agusan del Sur S i r : This refers to your request for assistance concerning your complaint against Mr. Benjamin A. Pelos, Provincial Assessor of Agusan del Sur concerning his alleged "unwise decisions/directives made by this officer (Mr. Pelos) that seems to be abusive already and detrimental to the growth and progress of every municipality and to the province as a whole in terms of real property taxation." In this connection, the ICO-BLGF Regional Director, Caraga Region, in his letter dated December 18, 2000, copy enclosed, advanced that "the conflict is now finally resolved," informing, among others, that: 1. your abovementioned letter dated October 25, 1999 "was already answered by Mr. Pelos, categorically, in his letter dated November 15, 1999" (copy enclosed); and 2. a Special Conference was conducted on November 27, 2000, which you and Mr. Pelos attended to resolve among others, the subject issues once and for all.
