June 8, 2017 BSP CIRCULAR LETTER NO. CL-2017-036 TO : All BSP-Supervised Financial Institutions SUBJECT : The Ogaki Kyoritsu Bank, Ltd. Manila Representative Office Establishment and Commencement of Operation The Monetary Board, in its Resolution No. 161 dated 26 January 2017, granted authority to The Ogaki Kyoritsu Bank, Ltd. (OKB) to open a representative office in the Philippines to be known as "The Ogaki Kyoritsu Bank, Ltd. Manila Representative Office." As a liaison office of OKB which deals directly with the public, its function shall be limited to promoting and providing information about the services/products offered by OKB and shall not include those of its affiliates. The Ogaki Kyoritsu Bank, Ltd. Manila Representative Office was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on 27 March 2017. The corresponding Certificate of Authority to Operate as a representative office was issued by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas on 18 April 2017 and its operations started on 26 May 2017.
