March 21, 2002 BSP CIRCULAR LETTER TO : All Banks and Non-Bank Financial Intermediaries The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved on December 28, 2001 the Articles and Plan of Merger by and between TA Bank of the Philippines, Inc. (Absorbed Corporation) and ABN AMRO Savings Bank, Inc. (Surviving Corporation) dated September 27, 2001, whereby the entire assets and liabilities of TA Bank of the Philippines, Inc. (a commercial bank) will be transferred to and absorbed by ABN AMRO Savings Bank, Inc. to be renamed ABN AMRO Bank, Inc. (a commercial bank) The merger took effect on March 1, 2002.
