An Ordinance Amending Section 50 (d) of the Revenue Code of 2010

March 1, 2017 Excerpt from the Minutes of the Regular Session and Consultative Assembly of the 5th Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Bogo Held at the Session Hall on March 1, 2017. WHEREAS , the Bogo Livelihood and Technical Skills Training Center (Bogo LiTeS Center) is registered with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) as an Accredited Assessment Center; HEITAD WHEREAS , Section 10.8 of TESDA Circular No. 15 series of 2015 so provides that Accredited Assessment Centers may collect assessment fees from the candidates based on the list of fees promulgated by the TESDA Board; WHEREAS , Bogo LiTeS shall conduct competency assessment for course/training offered in the Center and collect fees therefor; WHEREAS , TESDA Circular No. 02 series of 2016 prescribes the schedule of training costs and assessment fees; WHEREAS , the City Government subsidizes fifty percent (50%) of the TESDA prescribed training cost and therefore charges only fifty percent (50%) to trainees enrolled in Bogo LiTeS under the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP); WHEREAS , the City Government charges assessment fees in full amount as prescribed by TESDA pursuant to the aforecited circular; aDSIHc NOW THEREFORE , on motion of Hon. Lyndon Hee C. Acusar duly seconded by Hon. Ethel A. Gulane, be it; RESOLVED , as it is hereby resolved, to enact the following: BOGO CITY ORDINANCE NO. 001-17 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 50 (d) OF THE REVENUE CODE OF 2010 AND PROVIDING FOR THE SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR THE CONDUCT OF COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT AND OTHER SERVICES OF THE BOGO LIVELIHOOD AND SKILLS TRAINING CENTER (BOGO LiTeS) Authored by Hon. Crescencio P. Verdida Chair, Enterprise Management Be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Bogo in session assembled that: ATICcS SECTION 1. Amendment . Section 50 (d) of Ordinance No. 001-2010 otherwise known as the "Revenue Code of 2010" of the City of Bogo is hereby amended as follows: "Training Fee is the amount equivalent to fifty percent (50%) of the TESDA prescribed fees for qualified Bogohanons based on family economic profile and one hundred percent (100%) of the TESDA prescribed fees for walk-ins and sponsored enrollees. The fee shall be applicable to all TESDA regulated trainings offered by Bogo LiTeS which shall include but not limited to the following: 1.1 SMAW NC I; 1.2 SMAW NC II; 1.3 Dressmaking NC II; 1.4 Housekeeping NC II; 1.5 Computer Systems Servicing NC II; 1.6 Bread and Pastry Production NC II;" SECTION 2. Assessment Fees . There shall be charged an Assessment Fee equivalent to one hundred percent (100%) of the rate prescribed by TESDA. 2.1 Such fees shall be applicable to all competency assessments conducted by Bogo LiTeS including those that may hereafter qualified by TESDA: ETHIDa 2.1.1 Gas Metal Arc Welding NC II (GMAW NC II); 2.1.2 Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC II (SMAW NC II); 2.1.3 Dressmaking NC II; 2.1.4 Housekeeping NC II; 2.2 The assessment fee shall be shared between the Assessor and the Assessment Center pursuant to TESDA Circular No. 02-2016 and such other related regulations that may be issued thereafter. SECTION 3. Miscellaneous Fees . Miscellaneous fees shall be collected from trainees which shall cover the following: 3.1 Documentation Fee Php100.00 an amount which covers the issuance of National Certificate; 3.2 Identification Card Php50.00 an amount which covers the issuance of identification card of trainees. SECTION 4. Effectivity . This Ordinance shall take effect the day following its publication, or at the end of the posting period, whichever occurs later. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY .
