November 26, 2007 BLGF MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 24-07 TO : All BLGF Officials and Employees, Regional Directors for Local Government Finance, District Treasurers of Metropolitan Manila; Provincial, City and Municipal Treasurers and Others Concerned SUBJECT : Minute Resolution No. 07-711 dated October 23, 2007 Entitled "In the Matter of the Memorandum of Acting Chairman Resurreccion Z. Borra Relative to the Request of Ms. Nilda Generoso, Provincial Treasurer, Province of Negros Occidental, for Authority of the Local Treasurers to Claim Overtime Pay for Extra Services Rendered During the Election Period, Chargeable Against Funds of Their Respective Local Government Units" Relative to the letter of Ms. Nilda Generoso, Provincial Treasurer of Negros Occidental requesting the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) to issue a Resolution authorizing the local treasurers to claim overtime pay for extra services rendered during the election period as deputies of the Commission chargeable against available funds of their respective local government units, herein attached for the information and guidance of all concerned, is a copy of the Excerpt from the Minutes of the Regular En Banc Meeting of the COMELEC held on October 29, 2007 approving said request of Ms. Generoso, the pertinent portion of which reads as follows: CIHTac "Considering the foregoing, the Commission RESOLVED, as it hereby RESOLVES, to approve the herein request of Ms. Nilda Generoso, Provincial Treasurer, Negros Occidental. Accordingly, to authorize the local treasurers to claim overtime pay for extra services rendered during the election period as deputies of the Commission chargeable against available funds of their respective local government units." The Regional Directors of this Bureau are hereby instructed to disseminate the contents of this Circular to all Provincial, City and Municipal Treasurers within their respective jurisdictions.
