October 4, 2007 BLGF MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 17-07 TO : All BLGF Officials and Employees, Regional Directors for Local Government Finance, District Treasurers of Metropolitan Manila; Provincial, City and Municipal Treasurers and Others Concerned SUBJECT : COMELEC Resolution No. 8285 dated August 23, 2007 "Deputizing Among Others, Certain Departments Under the Executive Branch" and COMELEC Resolution No. 8301 dated Sept. 13, 2007, "Amending Resolution Nos. 8297 and 8298 dated September 6, 2007 and September 7, 2007, Respectively, and Other Resolutions Issued by the Commission In Connection with the October 29, 2007 Synchronized Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections Insofar As They Pertain to the Election Period and the Filing of Certificates of Candidacy" For the information and guidance of all concerned, attached are copies of Resolution No. 8285, promulgated on August 23, 2007 by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) deputizing among others, the Department of Finance and its Department Secretary to perform specific duties relative to the conduct of the October 29, 2007 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections and Resolution No. 8301 dated September 13, 2007 providing certain adjustments in the election calendar by amending Resolution Nos. 8297 and 8298 dated September 6, 2007 and September 7, 2007, respectively, and other resolutions issued by the Commission, in order to ensure accomplishment of the activities in preparation for the October 29, 2007 Synchronized Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections. The Regional Directors of this Bureau are hereby instructed to disseminate the contents of this Circular to all Provincial, City and Municipal Treasurers within their respective jurisdictions. (SGD.)
