Full Payment of Honoraria and Transportation Allowances of BEI Members in the May 14, 2007 Elections

June 5, 2007 BLGF MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 06-07 TO : All Regional Directors, Provincial/City/Municipal Treasurers, and District/City/Municipal Treasurers of Metro Manila RE : Full Payment of Honoraria and Transportation Allowances of Members of the Board of Election Inspectors in the May 14, 2007 Synchronized National and Local Elections In order to ensure that all members of Board of Election Inspectors (BEI) who served in the May 14, 2007 synchronized national and local elections are fully paid their honoraria and transportation allowances, the following are hereby directed: 1. The attached Notice to All BEI Members in the May 14, 2007 Elections (ANNEX A) must be posted in conspicuous places in all provincial/city/municipal halls in all areas where there are unclaimed or unpaid claims. The list of names of BEI members who have not yet received their honoraria and/or transportation allowances and those who were partially paid must be posted together with the notices. cCTIaS 2. All BEI members must be fully paid their honoraria and transportation allowances not later than June 15, 2007. All Regional Directors are enjoined to closely coordinate with the Department of Education (DepEd) and Commission on Elections (COMELEC) to effect full payment of all claims. 3. Within three (3) days after the June 15, 2007 deadline, all Provincial/City/Municipal Treasurers, and District/City/Municipal Treasurers of Metro Manila, through the Regional Directors, must submit to the BLGF Central Office a written certification as to remaining unclaimed or unpaid claims, if any, and the causes therefor. HDTcEI 4. After June 15, 2007, the payrolls and monies for unclaimed benefits shall be turned over to the DepEd for BEI members who are teachers and to the COMELEC for other BEI members. 5. SAHITC To ensure that these claims are paid promptly and fully, all concerned are advised to claim their respective honoraria and/or transportation allowances at the Treasurer's Office as soon as possible. To facilitate payment, kindly bring the appointment papers and valid ID. After June 15, 2007, the above benefits should be claimed with the Department of Education (for BEI members who are teachers) or with the Commission on Elections (for other BEI members).
