PURISIMA Secretary DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE 6th Floor, DOF Bldg., BSP Complex Roxas Blvd., Manila Dear Secretary Purisima, The Department of Trade and Industry, Bureau of Product Standards in connection with the Republic Act No. 10054 otherwise known as the Motorcycle Helmet Law and the Implementation of DOTC-DTI Administrative Order No. 1, series of 2011, is processing applications and stickering ICC for motorcycle helmets acquired before the implementation of the law. According to the Law, all motorcycle riders are required to wear standard protective motorcycle helmets at all times while driving, whether short or long drive, in any type of road and/or highway. All motorcycle riders not wearing the standard protective motorcycle helmet bearing Philippine Standard Mark or ICC sticker will be punished with fine. In view of the above, the Department of Trade and Industry, through the Bureau of Product Standards offers all government offices including government owned and controlled corporations with employees who are motorcycle riders an on-site helmet validation and affixing of ICC stickers.
