April 8, 2013 BLGF MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 050-13 TO : All BLGF Central and Regional Officials and Personnel, and All Others Concerned SUBJECT : Masters Degree Program in Finance/August 21, 2013 to May 14, 2015 (19 Months)/Korea For the information and guidance of all concerned, attached is a copy of the letter dated March 25, 2013 of Director Lourdes Z. Santiago, Central Administration Office and Head, PCDC Secretariat, Department of Finance, inviting this Bureau to nominate candidates to the abovementioned program. The Central and Regional Directors of this Bureau are hereby instructed to take note of the above and disseminate the contents of this Circular to Bureau Staff and others concerned. HaTISE (SGD.) Santiago Head, PCDC Secretariat SUBJECT : Master's Degree Program in Finance/August 21, 2013-May 14, 2015 (19 months)/ Korea This is to inform that this Department has been invited by Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) to nominate a candidate to the above-mentioned program. The course objectives are the following: To train finance professionals for the growth of developing countries' financial and capital market To build partnership with developing countries for future overseas expansions of Korean finance institutions To share Korea's experience in financial and capital market growth and spread Korean culture to developing countries Application Eligibility: University/college graduate or have an equivalent educational background Have sufficient command of both spoken and written English in order to take classes conducted entirely in English and to be able to write academic reports and thesis in English Be in good health, both physically and mentally Have not previously received a scholarship from Korean government STHAID A participant who has once withdrawn from the program due to a failure to attain certain grades, a violation of the rules of the training institute, or a false entry is not allowed to re-apply for Scholarship Program Interested parties may secure copy of the guidelines for recommendation of applicants and the checklist of requirements from Ms. Rhodora V.
