Master in Public Policy (MPP) The 2-year full-time MPP provides rigorous training for a strong foundation in policy analysis, programme evaluation and management. The programme is designed to meet the need for highly skilled professional policy-makers and analysts in the public, private or not-for-profit sector. MPP students are typically professionals who have at least a Bachelor's degree and up to five years' work experience. They must demonstrate maturity and a commitment towards public service. Proficiency in written and spoken English is critical. B. Master in Public Administration (MPA) The 1-year full-time MPA prepares students for senior management roles in the public sector. It provides an intensive, interdisciplinary course of study for professionals who wish to work on increasingly complex issues shaping national, regional and global policies and projects. Prospective students of MPA are typically mid-level professionals with a minimum of five years' work experience and have at least a Bachelor's degree and aspire to management roles. They must demonstrate maturity and commitment towards public service. Proficiency in written and spoken English is critical. C. Master in Public Management (MPM) The 1-year full-time MPM features predominantly Asian case studies to recreate and dramatise challenges confronting public officials today. This course trains students in meeting the challenges of effective leadership and good governance. With one semester at either Harvard Kennedy School or Columbia SIPA, the programme provides an exclusive opportunity to gain exposure beyond Asia, and for students to extend their networks. The MPM Programme is tailored for senior government officials and professionals in Asia, with a proven track record of leadership, high-level decision-making and a strong commitment to public service. The candidate should be in an organisational position that is comparable to a Director of Division and up to the level of Deputy Secretary in the Singapore Civil Service. Proficiency in written and spoken English is critical. More than half of LKYSPP students receive some form of financial support including scholarships, grants and tuition fee waivers. Scholarships are awarded based on merit. To qualify, students must also demonstrate leadership and a desire to contribute to public service. The LKYSPP provides select students grants as a form of financial assistance. While the specific value and coverage may vary, a grant will generally cover tuition fees as well as additional fees.
