May 31, 2012 BLGF MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 041-12 TO : All Central and Regional Directors of this Bureau, and All Others Concerned SUBJECT : Enabling Private Sector Growth and Attracting Foreign Direct Investment to be Held in Singapore from July 11 to 20, 2012 For the information and guidance of all concerned, attached is a copy of the Memorandum dated May 24, 2012 of Director Lourdes Z. Santiago, Central Administration Office, Department of Finance, regarding the invitation of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), to nominate a candidate to the above program, to be held in Singapore from July 11 to 20, 2012. The Central and Regional Directors of this Bureau are hereby instructed to take note of the above and disseminate the contents of this Circular to Bureau Staff and others concerned. ADCIca By the end of the course, participants will be able to: understand the stages of private sector growth and start-up development; identify key development strategies in Singapore's private sector growth; provide a framework for foreign investment promotion policy; understand needs and wants of the private sector selling overseas; and learn to interact with investor and make investment proposals to MNCs. Applicants should be: mid to senior level public service officials (Deputy Head and above) who have some experience in trade facilitation and formulating trade policies and frameworks; proficient in spoken and written English; below 50 years of age; and in good health. Daily training allowance of Forty Singapore Dollars (S$40) from first to last day of the course to cover meals and daily expenses, transportation to course venue and site visits, medical insurance to cover accident and hospitalization during stay in Singapore, and accommodation for the entire duration of the course shall be borne by the Government of Singapore.
