Fuerte, Chief Administrative Officer, PSD, Central Administration, Office, Department of Finance, inviting this Bureau to nominate candidates to the abovementioned program. The Central and Regional Directors of this Bureau are hereby instructed to take note of the above and disseminate the contents of this Circular to Bureau Staff and others concerned. Fuerte Chief Administrative Officer, PSD, CAO SUBJECT : Public Management Development Program (PMDP) Senior Executive Class conducted by the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP)/Early-February to Mid-May 2013 (Batch 2) Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 41 dated 19 November 2013 promulgated by the Office of the President, Malacaang on the subject: "Enjoining All Heads of Departments, Agencies and Instrumentalities of the National Government to send Nominees to the Public Management Development Program", this Department is reiterating the previous call for nominations to the above-mentioned program. DAP is extending the deadline for nomination until 31 January 2013. The Senior Executive Class is designed for senior government executives who exhibit outstanding intellectual and creative abilities, commitment to public service, and potential for shaping policy and management at higher levels of government. This includes all incumbents or OICs of SG 25 and up positions aged 55 years or less. The PMDP Design : Residential Training Training will be residential at the DAP Conference Center in Tagaytay City. Participants will reap useful insights from about three months of highly interactive classes with breaks, on both the theory and practice of public sector management. Seasoned faculty will facilitate these sessions while eminent persons will engage the participants in occasional conversations over breakfast. Towards the end of the residential training, participants will embark on a two-week Sensing Journey in a rural community to help them connect lessons gained with the lives of real people. aSDCIE Re-entry Project (ReP) Implementation Learning in the PMDP will be integrated and demonstrated in highly visible and citizen-centric re-entry projects which the participants will implement in their respective agencies or clusters. The PMDP curriculum offers courses that are built around the three learning areas Government and Development, Strategic Public Management and Personal Efficacy and Leadership: Learning Area Objective Courses Learning Area 1 Provides participants with deeper *Development Perspectives Governance and understanding of various *Philippine Government and Development complementary and sometimes Administrative System conflicting perspectives on *Dynamics of Social Development development, and the range of roles government can and does play in its realization Learning Area 2 Equips participants with the skills *Economic Applications in the Strategic Public and tools needed for leading and Public Sector Management managing their agencies and offices *Public Finance and Budgeting in a way that maximizes their *Public Policy Analysis contribution to development and *Managing High-Performing their impact on society Public Sector Organizations *Project Development and Management Learning Area 3 Optimizes the participants' *Personal Peak Performance Personal Efficacy awareness of self and others, thus *Transformational Leadership and Leadership laying the foundation for the *Communication, Negotiation and enhancement of the leadership Media Relations attitudes and skills they will need to aspire themselves, their colleagues, superiors, and subordinates to greater heights of performance in the public service.
