Offering of the Diploma and Master's Program on Land Valuation and Management by the University of the Philippines Open University

August 16, 2011 BLGF MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 014-11 TO : All BLGF Regional Directors SUBJECT : Offering of the Diploma and Master's Program on Land Valuation and Management by the University of the Philippines Open University With the passage of Republic Act No. 9646, otherwise known as the Real Estate Service Act, and the issuance of the Philippine Valuation Standards by the Department of Finance under DOF Order No. 37-09, the Bureau of Local Government Finance supports the continuous improvement of the professional competencies of local government assessors and appraisers. ATICcS The 2nd Land Administration and Management Project, in partnership with the University of the Philippines Open University, a constituent university of the University of the Philippines, and Central Queensland University, developed the Diploma in Land Valuation and Management and the Master of Land Valuation and Management Program . This program contains a set of land valuation and management courses that are available to all who seeks higher education in this field of specialization and will be available for enrolment starting 2nd Semester of AY 2011 . The Bureau of Local Government Finance is encouraging all BLGF Regional Offices, all assessors, assistant assessors, local appraisal personnel, and other interested LGU personnel to avail of this opportunity for purposes of improving their professional competencies and competitiveness . The Program will be very beneficial to those who seek to enhance their knowledge and skills in the field of land valuation, as well as for individuals who do not have background in land valuation and management but wish to become valuation professionals in the industry. All Regional Directors are hereby instructed to ensure the widest dissemination of this Circular, and the attached brochures and information materials (may be reproduced/photocopied) to all concerned.
