December 11, 2006 BLGF MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 014-06 TO : All Bureau Officials and Employees; Regional Directors for Local Government Finance, District Treasurers of Metropolitan Manila; Provincial, City and Municipal Treasurers and Others Concerned SUBJECT : Department Order No. 40-06 Dated November 29, 2006, Defining the Specific Duties and Responsibilities of the Member Agencies of the Special Task Force for Tax Enhancement to Supplement the Provisions of Department Order No. 24-06 Dated July 21, 2006 Attached for your information and guidance is a copy of Department Order No. 40-06 dated November 29, 2006 defining the specific duties and responsibilities of the Member Agencies of the Special Task Force for Tax Enhancement created under Department Order No. 24-06 dated July 21, 2006, and to facilitate the sharing of relevant information among the member agencies. The said Order states, among others, that the Bureau of Local Government Finance shall: a) Develop, conceptualize, and prepare relevant modules and materials to be used for trainings and seminars on tax education, implementation and collection; b) Coordinate with, and inform LGU treasurers and regional offices on the schedule of tax seminars/trainings in their respective jurisdictions; c) Solicit the support and participation of LGU officials for tax seminars and trainings; d) Determine possible sources of funding for the conduct of tax seminars and trainings; and e) Identify and recommend appropriate venues/areas for tax seminars and trainings. cEHITA This Circular takes effect immediately. The Provincial Treasurers and District Treasurers of Metropolitan Manila are hereby instructed to disseminate this Memorandum Circular to all City and Municipal Treasurers within their respective jurisdiction.
